SHOWTIME – Part One…The Preparation.

Woke up at 9am…began mixing the opening video, and watched Adobe Premiere chug away at the enormous files I was trying to pump through it. It was brutal work as I watched Noon rapidly approach, but we finally got the DVD burned (and the CD of opening music too) and we raced down to the Castro Theatre, and immediately began setting up the stage.

The soundbooth (graciously built by the astounding Mr. Joel Browning) looked AMAZING!!…Special thanks goes to Mr. Kelly McCubbin for loaning us the “On Air” sign, BTW.

The microphones, actual ribbon microphones from AEA, were unveiled, and some of us got a chill up our spines. It was a confirmation that it was finally happening! We were going to re-enact history!
